I’m excited to share that my new website is officially live.

This space brings together my community-based work, creative offerings, and upcoming projects, and I’m especially glad to introduce a new support group for elders, Where Do We Go From Here? The group is designed to offer a supportive, thoughtful space for navigating life’s changes, challenges, and questions—together.

The site will continue to evolve as new offerings take shape, but I’m happy to finally open the doors and begin sharing what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who has supported this work along the way.

You Heard Me.

A follow-up to Invisible. This piece is louder in its presence—bolder, more elegant, more difficult to overlook. Where Invisible held what went unseen, You Heard Me insists on being registered.

This work reflects resistance as a practice, and voice as something discovered, shaped, and learned. It speaks to the moment of realizing not only that we can be heard, but how to use that knowing with care and intention.

Whalefall.

This piece asked for time, distance, and trust. What started as a meditation on sacrifice shifted as I stepped away and returned, cut into it, and let it change. The final form holds what couldn’t be forced or erased, only carried forward.

Sharing the completed work again, along with detail shots that reflect the process and the pauses that shaped it.

What a piece to finish the year with. Whalefall began as a metaphor for sacrifice in the face of something greater, and became much more through the process of making. Along the way, it offered steady reminders: not to force, to remain patient, and to release the idea that there are rules.

I began this work in October, eager to see it completed, and worked on it with near-daily excitement for weeks. Then I hit a significant block and stepped away for almost two months, uncertain about what needed to shift.

Returning to the piece meant cutting into it, removing sections, and allowing it to transform. That act fundamentally changed my perspective. I am deeply proud of this work, and grateful for what it asked of me.

I had thought about this project for a long time before executing it. Barely visible from a few steps away, this piece speaks to the invisible weight we carry and the pain of pretending a part of us doesn’t exist.

I made this based on my own experiences of feeling like I was unseen, but it wasn't until I hung it up that the full weight hit me. The threads blend into the color of the wall behind, but when the light is on they cast a shadow.

I was reminded that though we may feel invisible, we cannot be completely erased.

Here’s the latest progress on Whalefall.
I’m so happy with how the squid turned out, playing with all the layers was incredibly satisfying. The jellyfish also got another layer, those orange loopy tentacles 😍 They took some trial and error (and plenty of cutting away) but I finally cracked them. Next up: a whole school of fish!

This week I also made a fresh batch of homemade syrups—seven in total! I’m especially excited to try the cardamom syrup in a cozy Earl Grey.

And lastly, I’m delighted to share that I’m now offering a free yoga and mindfulness class for elders at the Amesbury Council on Aging. 💛🧘‍♀️

The Squid — a handsewn work from my ongoing body addressing the lived realities of domestic violence.
Built from sheer layers of fabric, the form emerges gradually, much like the accumulation of dismissive comments and quiet minimizations. Each remark “I don’t want to hear about that,” or “Someone else has it worse” settles in, layering over time until something larger and heavier takes shape.

A study in how the unseen becomes undeniable.

Here’s the progress so far on Whale Fall.
The jellyfish represents the sting of words — the kind that cut deeper than they seem. As I begin layering the whale, its form will start to reveal the deeper story behind the piece: sacrifice, endurance, and what remains. The squid is just beginning to take form.

1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Too often, their sacrifices go unseen — like the quiet falling of a whale to the ocean floor, nourishing life even in loss.

This work is dedicated to that unseen strength.
